For PR visa/Work Permit – IELTS General Module For Study Permit – IELTS Academic Module IELTS is a language test. It is compulsory to submit your IELTS results together with your application. The requirement on obtaining specific results are different from each visa category. Rest assured that we will let you know the requirements you need to meet based on the visa category that you are applying for. We will also be happy to assist you with any other IELTS related query you may have.

This is a procedure used to assess whether your education qualifications such as certificate, diploma, degree from a foreign country (from all countries except Canada) is equal to a Canadian obtained qualification and also to assess its validity. There are a number of organizations appointed by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) from which you can obtain an education credential assessment report. We will guide you with all the formalities required to obtain an education credential assessment.

Yes, you will have to complete an immigration medical exam. For some visa categories, your family members will also have to complete a medical exam, even if they are not accompanying you to Canada. We will let you know when you need to complete the immigration medical exam and will guide you through the required formalities. We will also let you know if any of your family members are also required to complete the medical exam.

Please take note that this is an estimated completion timeline and it does not guarantee you that the processing of your application will be completed within this time frame. Processing and completion of your application is solely up to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

There are a number of immigrant-serving organizations that offer assistance to newcomers. You can choose an organization in your area and visit them to register for their services. These organizations are government funded and therefore they offer services free of charge to newcomers. These organizations offer service such as assistance on finding employment for newcomers, language training to improve your English and/or French language skills, registration of children in schools, finding housing, registration for government services etc. Apart from these organizations, there are Sri Lankan communities in Canada that are willing to extend a helping hand to newcomers to assist them with settling in. You can find about these communities from Sri Lankan related religious places in Canada as well as friends and other Sri Lankans living in Canada.
